Feel More Grounded in Your Body, Your Life, and in Yourself

When something isn’t feeling right physically, emotionally or somewhere in-between, it can be hard to know how to begin making sense of what’s going on – or where to turn for support

I’m Soran, Registered Osteopath and BACP registered Therapeutic Coach with over 20 years’ experience working 1-2-1 with individuals experiencing pain and loss in the physical and emotional realms and beyond.

I help people with the everyday insults life throws at us such as aches, pains and injury, plus all the ways in which emotional strain can show up in our bodies such as stress and overwhelm.

I also help those who have a challenged relationship with themselves and often their body as a result of trauma (physical and psychological), illness – and possibly squeezing themselves into an existence that no longer serves them.

Sometimes people come to our sessions feeling defeated by their bodies, stuck in them, with questions or simply not feeling comfortable, having a sense things could be better, that a new ‘body narrative’ might be waiting to emerge. I want to help you feel at home in your body, to befriend and know it for the wealth of resources it offers; to find ease, confidence and pleasure in the one companion we have all through life. When you feel at home in your body, you feel at home in your life.

“Soran’s sessions have been a game-changer!”

A Whole-Person, Integrated Approach

You may have a sense that what you are struggling with is either more physical or more emotional – and equally, you may have no clear idea at all. We can work this out together: in reality, none of what you are experiencing exists in isolation. Our bodies organise themselves (often with extraordinary intelligence) in response to our experiences, the context of our life, our habits and the ways in which we’ve learned to cope.

My integrative approach brings together:

An osteopathic perspective of health and wellbeing

Grounded in anatomy, physiology, neurology and pathology with a refined understanding of how tissues adapt and respond to the lived context of your life.

Psychotherapeutic insight

To support deeper exploration where patterns, meaning and emotional experience need attention in order for change to be lasting.

Coaching tools

To help translate insight into action: supporting choice, direction and the building of a life that feels workable and meaningful for you.

Key to these three areas is listening with the whole of me to the whole of you: with my ears, my mind, all my senses – and without judgement. Attending in this way creates a space for you to listen to yourself, so that what needs to be known can surface and we can work with it in the way that feels right for you.

“The body is not a thing, it is a situation: it is our grasp on the world and our sketch of our project.”
